Scenario-based learning (SBL) provides a context to the learning activity and facilitates learning through contextual problem solving and decision making. Scenarios, however, must be carefully drafted and it should the mirror the context of a learner’s job. Our scenarios, present a well-defined contextual challenge that calls for problem solving/decision making. Learners are allowed to fail. In event of failure guided feedback helps them learn quickly from the mistakes. Case study or challenge based scenarios helps learner sharpen skills that calls for informed decision making and problem solving. Scenario based strategy is important for all types of subject which we can think of. Be it emergency response training, compliance training or soft skills training, scenarios are the best strategy to achieve instructional and learning goals.
